Each formulation is a study in precision — blending rare pigments, archival carriers, and decades of expertise into inks that define the standard of excellence for professionals worldwide.
Each facility is purpose-built for a specific stage of the formulation process — never generalist, always specialist.
Dedicated entirely to pigment sourcing, processing, and particle science. Our Munich facility operates advanced wet-milling equipment.
Our founding facility and global headquarters. Home to master formulation labs where every ink concept is tested and perfected.
Built in partnership with Kyoto University. Dedicated to quality innovation and advanced materials science research.
From raw mineral to sealed flask, each Black Gold Ink passes through eight governed stages — a process that takes between 18 and 34 days depending on the formulation's complexity.
Mineral pigments are sourced from vetted suppliers across 18 countries. Each batch is accompanied by full spectrographic certificates of origin and heavy metal assay data.
Pigments enter our sub-micron wet-mills in Munich. Particle size is reduced to between 0.1 and 0.8 microns — tighter than any industry standard — for maximum colour saturation and consistency.
The archival carrier — our proprietary blend of purified water, humectants, and bio-based resin — is compounded in Geneva. pH is calibrated to within 0.05 units of target specification.
Pigment concentrate and carrier are combined under controlled temperature in sealed dispersion chambers. Three-stage homogenisation eliminates all agglomeration before quality assessment.
